Reflection #3 Bruce

Reflection #3
As I pack up my bags and get ready for my travel back to the United States I started to reflect on our trip. This trip has taught me lots, took me to many amazing and new places, and make many connections with great people. One of the things we saw a lot of, yet impressed me more and more each time, were the churches we visited. The preservation of these churches is incredible, the detail and thought that goes into them is so admirable. The man created beauty of this country along with the nature created beauty is phenomenal.
In response to what David said, I also noticed that when we attend a bar all eyes are on us because of our loud and at times obnoxious actions. I do agree that there is a cultural difference that plays a part in it, but more than that it is our age and the location we are in. Grado is not a hot spot for college students to go clubbing and dancing it is a beautiful and quaint place that people have pride in. Things do not move fast here, people respect their time and enjoy many things sometimes Americans can overlook.

Moving forward I hope to adopt some of the culture that we have experienced that includes being more eco-conscious when I am at home. Along with this I want to take more time to be outside enjoy my environment and be with the people I care about instead of rushing through a meal. Even though I am excited to finally have a glass of water at dinner with ice in it and without an extra charge, I will greatly miss this place and hope to return again at some point in my life.
